Boho/Western Wedding Anyone?

What do you get when you combine a cowboy, a bombshell blonde wedding planner bride, an amazing team of vendors, a host of loving family and friends, a nearly 100-year-old home, and a gorgeous October day? A perfectly planned, stunning boho/western wedding!

High school sweethearts, McKenzie and Ethan, could not have had a more perfect wedding that was more true to them as a couple. From the florals to the felt cowboy hats, every detail was carefully chosen with both their love story and loved ones in mind.

From the rehearsal dinner on, you could feel the excitement in the air for Ethan and McKenzie to tie the knot! Their family and friends could not have been more loving and supportive throughout the entire day. One of the neatest things about being high school sweethearts and growing up together is that your people truly get to know and love each other along the way. The Foster wedding was packed full of Ethan and McKenzie’s people who were all there to support the bride and groom.

McKenzie chose a stunning long sleeve Olia Zavozina satin gown. She looked timeless and elegant with her simple gold jewelry and blonde locks swept into a low bun.

LIke a true wedding planner, McKenzie knew the timeline of the day by heart, but remained calm and cheerful throughout the day and truly enjoyed each moment from the early morning hair and make up to the very last dance of the reception.

The florals complimented the beauty of the venue, Haynes Haven, perfectly. The pops of coral and amber accented the white home with black shutters perfectly. The pampas grass added the perfect touch of western flare.

You can call me old-fashioned, but I say give me florals for decor all day! It doesn’t matter if you choose simple white flowers and greenery or go all out with large arrangements and bold colors. Florals always seem to make a statement and complete any tablescape or aisleway.

There were many laughs and many tears shared during the sweet, ceremony performed by a close friend of the bride and groom.

A fun cocktail hour took place on the lawn following the ceremony, complete with mocktails served out of the cutest renovated horse trailer, cornhole, and charcuterie cups provided by the Muletown Cheese Gal.

McKenzie transformed the former equestrian barn into a stunning reception space! Candles were lit, music was playing, and the delicious smell of Mission Barbecue filled the air.

Sentimental touches could be seen everywhere, from the wedding and groom’s cakes made by the mother of the bride to the custom F O S T E R spelled out on the dance floor.

After a delicious meal, the dance floor was opened, and the bride and groom danced the night away with all of their nearest and dearest. It was truly a wedding for the books!

Dreaming of a Classic Southern Wedding?

When I first met Megan and Seth I instantly felt the connection they had for one another and the excitement they had for there special day to come. Megan and her mother were the true dream team when it came to all things planning! They tag teamed every task that was sent their way so that we were on time during the entire process.

The crisp 15th day of October started overcast with just a small chill in the air. As everyone began to arrive at The Venue at Birchwood, everything was settling in nicely. All the ladies arrived together, sporting their matching silk robes. Their excitement was contagious. As the Hair and Makeup ladies, Kristen Burkeen and Hallie White were setting up, the girls made themselves at home with a full breakfast spread provided by the Mother of the Bride (MOB) and her lovely friends. Aren’t friendships amazing? Years go by, and the friends that show up to help all day at your daughter’s wedding sure make life SO sweet!

When I first met Megan and Seth, I instantly felt the connection they had for one another and the excitement they had for their special day to come. Megan and her mother were the true dream team when it came to all things planning! They tag-teamed every task that was sent their way so that we were on time during the entire process.

Each detail was simple, classic, and elegant. Just like our lovely bride, Megan.

The groom and groomsmen took a later arrival to the venue and brought their own delicious spread of goodies!! The groom’s suite was the perfect setup for these guys as they were laid back and enjoyed the evening. Now once the Tennessee v. Alabama started, these boys were glued to the TV or cell phone in between photos.

At any given moment you could as about every call, play, run, touchdown… they were not missing one thing!

Incredibly STUNNING and classic setup for the ceremony. Simplicity speaks so purely for a chapel like this! Flowers by Rachael did an amazing job of bringing to life Megan’s vision. As the bride and groom have a young girl named Kate, she was the light of everyone’s day.

Kate wanted to take a quick peak at her “May-May” while we were waiting to do the bridesmaids reveal.

A mother/daughter dynamic duo like these two are so special.

These girls were the sweetest when seeing sweet Megan for the first time in her dress. From here, we went straight to see her handsome groom, Seth.

From the sharp dark wooden floors and elegant church pews to the detailing in her dress and veil, how they fell into one. These two were just a dream.

The smiles continued just as these two were continuing to cheer on the VOLS in their lead against Alabama!

After whisking away for these phenomenal photos we got started with the ceremony of their dreams….

…and then, the moment we had all been waiting for. They sealed the deal of marriage AND a Vols win with their kiss!!!

These love birds entered the reception with a surprise change of a VOLS jersey over the top of their wedding attire singing “Rocky Top.” Let’s just say the family and friends went wild!!! Then the buffet of delicious pizza from Muletown Pizza was open. Next in line for family and friends to snack on was tons of donuts, cupcakes, and a fruit charcuterie table provided by Muletown Cheese Gal. And lastly, everyone had a taste of the flavorful cake by Pink Blossom Bakery while they danced the night away under the gobo and lights provided by High Tone Entertainment. And the rest, my friends, was history…
